Privacy Policy
Our privacy policy, regarding the privacy of our website users, members and forum owners is as follows:
  • Cookies. Use of our website requires the use of cookies for many sections. Thus you agree to allowing ftlog to set and remove browser cookies under the ftlog domain.
  • Information Collection. For our members the primary information we collect is an e-mail address with which we use as one method to interact with a user and also to maintain a high quality of service where each user account more often that not terminates in a genuine unique user. Members define a username and password in addition to this to secure their account and identity.
  • Guest Users. We collect information on guests, such as viewing habits when interacting with our site. This is to help improve our service. We may set cookies to aid the use of our sites or help provide a temporary identity for the user if interacting with a forum for the users benefit.
  • Security. We will do our utmost to preserve the security of commonly considered private user data from those who should not have access to it. While we cannot guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration to data will not occur, we take many precautions to prevent such unfortunate occurrences. You are ultimately responsible for the security of your ftlog username and password.
  • Spyware. We DO NOT use third party spyware, nor have any intention to use it either now or in the future.
  • Information Collection. We collect various information about ftlog site viewing behaviour as users use our service. This is to improve our site design and service overall. We do not collect information for specific individuals, as this is beyond the scope of our interest and what is useful to us.
  • Untraceable. Further to the above, we pledge never to sell user data onto third parties where the data can be matched to an individuals identity or account.
  • Location data. Your location data is used for valuable performance profiling of our own servers and customer servers. With this data we are able to offer the best performance servers for your area. For customer servers, we use the data to profile their own servers. We do not sell identifiable user locations to third parties. Location data currently only goes as far as your nearest town or village defined during user sign up.
  • Newsletters. Part of our terms and conditions is that as a new member we automatically put you onto the ftlog newsletter subscribers list when you register for an ftlog account. On receipt you may then unsubscribe this from within the mail, or via the ftlog members page if you wish to do so. (Note that you can actually avoid receiving a single newsletter by editing your account preferences after you create your account, however we urge you to at least read one of our newsletters early on as it contains valuable account information as well as news which you may find useful!).
  • Policy Changes. Our latest privacy policy will always be viewable on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect and what we do with it.
  • Privacy Policy Commitment. We wish to stick to our privacy policy. If you have any questions or feel we have breached our own policy please do not hesitate to contact us!
  • Please also see our terms and conditions.
